MediaCast · Fifth Third Edition

About this Fifth Third module
MediaCast streams local video, audio and photo files from an Android device to DLNA renderers, Chromecast targets and AirPlay receivers on the same network. The Fifth Third Edition supports on-the-fly transcoding of H.265, VP9 and AV1 sources into H.264 for older TVs, subtitle burn-in from external SRT and VTT files, gapless playlist queueing and a "follow me" mode that hands off playback from a bedroom to a living-room speaker when both are on the same subnet. No account, no cloud, no telemetry — the receiver list is discovered on the LAN through mDNS and SSDP. Signed with the Fifth Third release key. Provisioned to your FifthThirdStore workspace via the marketplace API.

What the Fifth Third release key means
The Fifth Third release key is our internal signing key for the current quarterly batch. Every module ships with the same key so a workspace can verify all of its provisioned modules against a single, documented public key. When we roll a new batch the key rotates and the previous one moves to a documented sunset schedule.
